Casen Gullett, 8-Year-Old Manchester, Ohio Boy, Dies After Brave Battle With DIPG Brain Tumor – It is with profound sadness that the Manchester Local School District announces the passing of one of our own, Casen Gullett. Our deepest thoughts and condolences are with his parents, Adam and Hailey Gullett, and their entire family during this unimaginable time.
Casen, an 8-year-old from Manchester, Ohio, was diagnosed in December 2023 with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare and aggressive pediatric brain tumor. Despite the brave fight he and his family waged, this diagnosis has no cure. Our tight-knit school community is heartbroken and coming together to support one another as we cope with this tremendous loss.
A ‘one-of-a-kind,’ courageous, and exuberant student at Manchester Elementary, Casen was always surrounded by friends. His vibrant spirit made him a beloved Greyhound, and his memory will forever remain in our halls and hearts. Counselors will be available at our schools to support students, friends, and classmates as they process this grief.
We ask that you keep the Gullett family in your hearts and prayers as they navigate this difficult journey. Casen’s light will never be forgotten.
