The Kentucky School for the Blind community mourns the profound loss of Anthony Brettnacher, lovingly known as the ‘Mayor of KSB’. Anthony’s radiant spirit brought an undeniable smile to everyone he met.
His joyful presence was a daily gift. Whether starting his morning rocking out with Ms. Connie to “I Like to Move It, Move It!” or sincerely asking how you were, Anthony’s default setting was happiness. He made friends wherever he went, his mother, Cierra, often shared.
Diagnosed at age two with a juvenile pilocytic astrocytoma, Anthony faced immense health challenges. His journey included brain surgery, stroke, chemotherapy, radiation, and numerous rehabilitative therapies. Yet, his resilience never dimmed his bright, social nature. He met the world with unwavering cheer.
Anthony’s absence leaves a quiet hallways and a deep void in our hearts. He is greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. We ask that you keep his beloved mother, Cierra, and all his family and friends in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
