Christine “Nipper” Hancock Death: North Petherton RFC Mourns Beloved Lifelong Supporter and Club Pillar – It is with profound sadness that North Petherton RFC announces the passing of our dear friend and lifelong supporter, Christine “Nipper” Hancock.
Nipper was a much-loved, integral member of our club fabric. She served proudly on the Ladies Committee, consistently offering her time, boundless kindness, and warm encouragement to all. For decades, she stood steadfastly alongside her husband, Chris, supporting him through his many senior roles and his life membership. Together, they formed a cornerstone of our club family.
In recent years, Nipper’s devotion shone brightly on the sidelines, where she could always be found cheering on her grandsons, first for North Petherton and later for Bristol Bears. This was a true reflection of her character: unwavering support for both the game she loved and the family she cherished.
Nipper’s passing leaves a quiet space where her vibrant presence once was. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, most of all by her beloved family and wide circle of friends. Our heartfelt condolences go to Chris and all the Hancock family.
